School of Saint Mary welcomes new Principal, Mr. Raymond Lewis

We are excited to announce that Mr. Raymond Lewis has been appointed as the new principal of the School of Saint Mary, beginning his tenure on July 1. Mr. Lewis brings with him a strong background in both academic excellence and faith-filled leadership, and we are thrilled to welcome him and his family into our school community.

A native of Chicago, Mr. Lewis is no stranger to Tulsa—his wife, Jessica, was born and raised here, and their family has many ties to the area. The couple married in 2020 at St. Catherine Church in Tulsa and are the proud parents of two young boys. They are active members of Christ Our Hope Parish in Highland Park, Illinois, and are excited to begin this next chapter of their lives in Tulsa.

Mr. Lewis holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and earned his Master’s in Education through the ACE (Alliance for Catholic Education) program at the University of Notre Dame while teaching. Most recently, he completed a second master’s degree in Educational Leadership through the Remick Leadership Program, also at Notre Dame. Since 2019, he has been teaching science at St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago, where he has been recognized for his thoughtful, student-centered approach to teaching and leadership.

Throughout the search process, our Principal Search Committee worked diligently to find a candidate who reflects the values and mission of our school. We sought someone who would love our community as much as we do—someone who listens, collaborates, and leads with humility, purpose, and faith. Mr. Lewis stood out not only for his professional qualifications but also for the warmth, integrity, and dedication to Catholic education that he brings to every conversation. The enthusiastic endorsements from his references only affirmed what we already saw in him.

We offer our sincere thanks to the Principal Search Committee, whose thoughtful and prayerful work helped lead us to this exciting new chapter. In particular, we extend our gratitude to chairwoman Lauren Craft, who guided the process with great care and clarity.

Please join us in praying for Mr. Lewis and his family as they prepare for this transition and for a successful year ahead at the School of Saint Mary.

Welcome, Mr. Lewis—we are so glad you’re here!
