Buddy Program

We pair every 6th grader with a Kindergartener and they spend the next three years learning to lead by being their “buddy” at many activities throughout the school year. The bond they form over the three-year period means so much to the children and it’s something they remember with fondness the rest of their lives. 

Their first year together where young kids meet their new “big” best friend and middle schoolers start to learn what it is like to lead.

The younger children really start to look up to and lean on their “buddies” as the friendship continues to grow, and the 7th graders take them through what the expectations are of our students who are expected to live up to our core values.

8th graders truly learn what it’s like to lead a school and lead a child who truly looks up to them. Not only do the kids cherish the experience, but teachers and parents love seeing this friendship in full bloom.
